“YAKLAŞ” Farklı Disiplinlerden Akademisyen ve Araştırmacıları Aynı Platformda Buluşturdu
In the first event of '' YAKLAŞ '', which was designed by '' OzU Transdisciplinary Thinking '' held on 17-18 October 2018, solutions were discussed to bring different disciplines together and to reduce the distance between working areas in order to develop strategic solutions for complex problems. On the first day of the event, speakers from different disciplines such as economy, architecture, gastronomy, engineering, law, psychology, physics, design, international relations and history came together, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen and our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk delivered her speech under the panel with the theme of “Impact”, emphasizing the importance of transdisciplinary work.
On the second day of the event, groups of Özyeğin University third and fourth year students from different disciplines had the opportunity to experience transdisciplinary thinking in 11 different workshops.
YAKLAŞ Workshops
In the YAKLAŞ Workshops, it was aimed for the mixed-disciplinary teams to think together with a facilitator around current top themes and to experience developing a collective thought systematic. Özyeğin University faculty members facilitated the workshops attended by students from 18 different departments from law to gastronomy, aviation management, and economy.
